November finds us busily playing and working in our classroom. This month we are focusing on Food and Family themes, playing grocery store, cooking, and making food collages. In literacy, we are visiting and revisiting The Very Hungry Caterpillar, in story, puppets, artwork, and science. We will also be looking at some other of Eric Carle’s books and voting as to which one is our favorite story.

This is the time of year to keep an eye on the weather and make sure your child is dressed to go outside. We already have a number of jackets and hats that no one claims, so feel free to come in and take a look at our Lost and Found. Please make sure jackets, snowpants, and boots are labeled with a name.

Reminder!! School picture retake day is Friday, November 14, at 8:30 a.m. in the mini-gym. Original orders and pictures must come in with your child.

Thanksgiving vacation dates: There is no school November 26-28.
