Who We Are

The Making A Difference Resource Center is a project of Northfield & Roxbury Drug-Free Communities. The Resource Center works to reduce the use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by Northfield and Roxbury community members, particularly by youth.

We offer free :

  • Information & consultation about substance abuse and prevention
  • Referrals to recovery/treatment centers
  • Lending of books and videos about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs
  • Outreach programs to provide positive opportunities for youth
  • Support for other organizations that work for and with youth

The Making A Difference Resource Center is run by the Executive Director of Northfield & Roxbury Drug-Free Communities (Suzanne Jolly), and a number of regular volunteers. Northfield & Roxbury Drug-Free Communities is overseen by the Greater Northfield Coalition Council (GNCC) and funded by a federal grant (Drug-Free Communities Support Program) from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA).

For every dollar of federal funding, the community has to match it with monetary or in-kind donations (including volunteer hours). Please click here to find out about joining us in our work to reduce the use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Northfield and Roxbury.
